Winter holiday in Pusteria valley
During your winter holiday in Pusteria valley, in the South Tyrolean municipality of Falzes, you will be welcome by wide winter hiking routes, kilometres long luge runs and sunny downhill trails. The place is located at the beginning of Pusteria valley on a sunny high plataeu and represents a perfect starting point for funny walks with winter shoes and wonderful ski tours. In the winter months a lot of hiking trails are cleaned from snow and invite you to long walks in the fresh mountain air. The trails lead you across snowy woods and fields, underway a lot of old mountain restaurants invite you to have a rest.
Winter free time fun far apart from the ski runs
During your winter holiday in Pusteria valley there will be a lot of sport and free time activities apart from ski runs. A cross-country ski trails network with a length of 30 km represent a paradise for cross-country lovers in the surroundings of Falzes. The ski trail Falzes-Issengo-Molini starts directly on the high plateau at the beginning of the Pusteria valley. The luge is also a great fun for the whole family and the natural luge runs along the Pertinger Alp in Terento and the Haidenberg impress both children and adults. The ice stadion in Brunico invite to ice-skating on a well-prepared ice surface. Ice skates can be rented directly on site. On the frozen surface of the Issengo lake it is possible to ice-skate and to play curling.
Unlimited ski fun in the winter sport area at Plan de Corones
The ski area Plan de Corones is one of the most attractive winter sport areas in Pusteria valley and is located only 10 km far away from Falzes. 105 km trails at all levels of difficulty are best prepared every day, while ultramodern lifts grant you a rapid and secure transport within the ski arena. More than the half of all downhill trails are classified as light ski runs, so that they represent the ideal conditions for children and beginners, who are learning the right technique. In the ski area Plan de Corones there are six ski runs till the valley bottom with different lengths. No other ski area in South Tyrol has got as many as Plan de Corones. The longest one is 6,5 km and goes from the peak of the mountain till the South Tyrolean mountain village of Valdaora. The Kinderpark was created especially for our young skiers , so that they can learn the perfect movement under the control of a qualified team.
